Hi everyone!

I can't believe I'm finally done with tweaking this blog's source code and I'm finally writing my actual first post (that is also going to be my first RSS post).

This blog is made in Eleventy with a huge help of Renkon's tutorial on it. The comments section is made with Cusdis, but I had to spend several nights on figuring it out and customizing it to my needs.

At first I wanted to try Zonelets with ZoneRSS, but the whole process of having a static blog with its RSS part having to be already deployed on the server and having to use this RSS part to write blog posts in (so it could update the RSS feed) felt weird and inconvenient to me, so I had to look for some other blog engine. And here I want to say huge thanks to Renkon for recommending me Eleventy! It's a really fun blog engine that builds static blogs on your computer using a Node JS service and generates everything using customizable templates (and also supports markdown).

As you can see, I couldn't have my blog posts without userpics and "Current Mood" and "Now Playing" sections ^__^ In the near future I want to finish the tag system (making tags actually browsable), and also I'm planning to add a kind of a throwback to a user rating system I loved on a blogging platform I used back in the day. It's like social media numbers, but much cooler, and also it will be relevant only to me in my blog, so it shouldn't create any toxic habits.. Right?

I still feel that the whole website (and especially the comment system) is very janky, so please don't try to break it T^T
