In early August I lost my no-brain entertainment on my phone, which was Sonic Runners Revival. I installed a security update for my old iOS version and it didn't click with me that those security updates were probably, in part, deployed to get rid of stuff like TrollStore. So the game doesn't work anymore, and to fix that I would need to do the whole injection process again, and I'm afraid I might lose all my progress while doing this x___x

To have something I could play daily at any moment I decided to purge my Animal Crossing: New Leaf town and start anew! The other reason I wanted to delete the save file was the fact it was from 2015, which meant it was my pre-transition player character (:

In my new game I started noticing more and more online functions that I totally missed back in 2015: are you telling me you could have up to 4 visitors in your town back then?? I didn't have any irl or online friends who had a 3ds back then, so I never tried any online modes on my 3ds. Except! I think I played Metroid Prime Federation Force Blast Ball a couple of times! So today I decided to find out if there have already been any private servers developed for ACNL..

Turns out, Pretendo has one! But! They found an exploit and are still fixing it, so the server is down. Nevertheless, I decided to finally install Pretendo on my 3ds and to check out what's already available. I was able to go to the new Miiverse (first time actually doing it on my 3ds)! I was able to add a friend of mine to my Friend List! So cool!

Now I can't wait to be able to visit everyone's towns in New Leaf and get everyone's fruits or something... I participated in various online activities in Animal Crossing: New Horizons but that game overall felt so predatory and soulless that I quickly dropped it. I also still hate how they switched from "accidentally becoming a mayor of a small town with public transportation and a cool main street with many activities" to "hey, you now OWN A TROPICAL ISLAND, do whatever".
