It's been a while since my last reposts, and all this time I've been thinking more and more about how really important it is to just post links in you blog to stuff on the Internet you enjoy. Just like the velocity of money, there needs to be the velocity of clicks for the Web to stay healthy............................

Cool Games (and Videos on Games)

  • LITHOBREAKERS Jam 03-World Wide Weird by LITHOBREAKERS — August was the new LITHOBREAKERS jam time! I still need to play a lot of games from this collection, but the ones I've played already were very fun! Also the jam theme is just sooo gooood.

  • the language bodies speak by basicbean — played this game yesterday when I saw it in my itch feed, and really loved the visuals and the tense intimate atmosphere <3

  • The Forgotten Atmosphere of Grand Theft Auto 3 by Any Austin — this might be my favourite Any Austin video, partly because I myself was a kid who used to hang around Liberty City trying to find new favourite places (instead of playing infuriatingly hard missions) and just enjoyed the vibes. On a later replay in 2007 (when I actually beat the game) I somehow elevated the game vibes even further by listening exclusively to two albums on the custom radio station: "Take to the Skies" by Enter Shikari [youtube (lol, they deleted their whole discography from bandcamp)] and "Greatest Hits Lo-Fi and D.I.Y." by Sakura [youtube].

  • SAGExpo 2025 Showcase by SAGExpo — finally watched the whole showcase today and got immensely inspired to make games. Watching it felt like unearthing a whole video games layer that I forgot about among all the corporate and publisher based video game showcases. Bright, colourful, fun! Really switched something in me when I realised I wanted to play like 50% of the games shown (something that never happens during wholesome-adjacent showcases). I really hope we too can showcase our new game next year next to Sonic fan games ^__^

  • NTS X SEGA X BRAIN DEAD: 25 YEARS OF JET SET RADIO by NTS X SEGA X BRAIN DEAD — I feel like this went less noticed than it was supposed to be, but there was a cool event in LA celebrating the 25 years of Jet Set Radio, that gave us several live DJ mixes that were posted on NTS. One of them was a DJ set by the director of the game Masayoshi Kikuchi and the lead artist Ryuta Ueda — and it was taken down??? I added this link in my "May 2025 Reposts" draft and was sure that the DJ set will be on the NTS website for the time being... Alas. You can still check out the only preserved DJ set by BAE BAE from the live event here on NTS.

  • New Breakcore is (Still) Badass by Michael Piantini by Michael Piantini — a fun selection of recent breakcore releases on bandcamp!

  • Candy Heart Melt Happy Hardcore Mix by MinaSheep — really enjoyed listening to this happy hardcore DJ set by MinaSheep live on twitch! Was waiting for it the whole last week and I'm glad it was uploaded to YouTube. It goes hard!!
