At almost 3000m height the Zugspitze Peak facility had a nice small museum, a souvernir shop, and a big cafeteria area with a separate pizza-pasta stand (was closed), a separate coffeeshop stand, and the main buffet (IKEA-style) area, with several areas to sit at and almost a 360º view from big panoramic windows. I liked their Gulaschsuppe served in a glass jar :)

A lifehack I've unlocked during this trip: if you have a fear of heights — the sea/air sickness pills might help you block the vertigo for an hour or so. Wish I knew this when we visited the Berlin TV tower...
