Finally making this post with some interesting things on the Internet that I've been collecting since December.
Music
- Tone Glow 199: billy woods by Joshua Minsoo Kim — a very interesting interview with hip-hop artist billy woods on Tone Glow
- Flying Lotus DJ Set by The Lot Radio — Flying Lotus is back with new music this month but before that he did this really nice DJ set at The Lot Radio that I highly recommend for listening.
- anne hero world jungle mixes by various artists — this might be old news for some of you, but I've uncovered this great collection of jungle dj mixes curated by anne hero world only recently and been listening to them on repeat ever since, when doing computer work.
- I Made Dungeons & Dragons for Producers by Jon Makes Beats — an honestly genius idea of making a TTRPG with dungeon rooms, curses, and powerups for music making in DAW programs. I can't wait to try playing this game myself on a stream someday.
Video Games
- Cookie Cutter RM2k3 Jam by various artists — a very fun game jam with funny short games made in RPGMaker 2003 from the default template. Definitely a highlight in video games to me this year!
- Decompilation projects and N64 Recompiled PC ports list (March 2026) by Read Only Memo — a nice constantly updated list of decompilation / recompilation projects across several platforms. As a macOS user, I'm very excited about the recent advancements in games decompilation and I can't wait to play more old console-exclusive games natively on my computer.
- Rise of the Triforce by OatmealDome, JMC47, MayImilae — a deep dive into the history of the GameCube-based arcade platform Triforce, developed by SEGA, Nintendo, and Namco.
- Do you dream of working in gaming anymore? The state of hobbyist game making by ToulouTouMou — an article that compiles opinions on the state of hobbyist game making from 15 hobbyist game developers, an important look into why people are still making video games despite the worsening conditions inside the video game industry.
Internet
- The Death of DeviantArt and the art-site shaped hole haunting the Internet by ʚ Belle ɞ — a long form essay about the author's personal history with DeviantArt and the nowadays struggle of getting exposure as a digital artist online.
