It's been a while since I last posted something here, and you might have even noticed that the website has been down for more than a month. My cloud service provider had to physically relocate all the servers to a new data center because the data center they were using had "pulled the plug" on them (according to strangers online), and it took them a lot of time to do the logistics. At least I'm glad that it turned out to be the truth and not just a promise they could be extending infinitely because the issue was actually something else.

While my blog is static, and I could just run it again somewhere else, I didn't have any backups of the comments (:

To be honest, I really got out of the habit of blogging during these two months and will have to learn again the importance of doing it.

During this period of time I also started the work on posting less on social media. I realised that usually I post something on, for example, bluesky to no one in particular, but actually for a certain group of followers to see the post and to react to it. And so I post, and then I wait for someone from that group to notice and approve. This fishing for attention started feeling more and more messed up to me, especially since I could have just reached out and talked about The Thing with one of my friends in DMs — a thing so much more gratifying than a Like or a Repost. I'm also not trying to build presence on social media, especially since cohost died, so bluesky, and especially mastodon, have really been just something similar to a group chat for me recently. And it's much better for my mental health to actually chat with someone online — I still have to remind myself this every time. You will still see me posting opinions to the void sometimes, but that's really what I could use this blog for: it's gonna take so much effort to write an opinion post that there's a high chance I'm gonna calm down and drop it halfway.

In other news, I am finishing and publishing games again, participating in game jams, me and rayzones are trying to get back on track with lowpolis. You can check out my entry for Manifesto Jam 2026 and our silly homestuck point and click game for MSPA Jam #1. Hopefully, a couple more this year.

I'm also still streaming on Twitch every Monday and have been having a lot of fun with that. Usually I'm playing 2 games every stream, but right now I'm having too much fun with Wizardry 8 and my current party of losers, so I'm going to continue my adventures with them for some time.

It's also about time for me to finally restore my icecast server for my music radio show... I believe in the 10 Year Anniversary Miracle ^__^

Oh, and it's almost Blaugust time again? Well, this means I should finally finish those posts from last August, hehe
